It doesnt take long after speaking with Chef Chris, that his accent details where he is from, New York. Starting his culinary journey at a younger age in a upscale Italian Deli on Staten Island, he knew making people happy with great food was his calling. He started out making classic Italian sandwiches and pasta dishes and quickly adapted to having an Italian flair in his food. After working in numerous other small restaurants he knew going to culinary school would educate him furthur. After graduating at the top of his class in late 2005, he started out as a student in one of New York Citys best French restaurant, Brasserie La Cote Basque. He quickly adapted to the restaurants receipes and "systems" and before he knew it Chris was on his way up. After working hard for * months a rare opportunity came along when one of the Sous Chefs gave his notice of leaving. The Chef asked Chris if he wanted the position and responsability. Of course he accepted the challenge. After working there for about 2 years he needed to learn more than just French food, he decided to move on to other adventures and worked in New York Citys restaurants such as Rachels Restaurant, Pasticceria Bruno, Rubi Rosa on Mulberry St and Lava Lounge. After coming to PA back in 2011 he worked on the Main Line in Berwyn at Aneu Bistro and Catering as the Executive Chef,While working at Aneu Bistro, Chris was given a chance to compete in Philly Cooks, and showcased on 6abc FYI Philly. " When you Acknowledge, as you must, that there is no such thing as perfect food, only the idea of it, then the real purpose of striving toward perfection becomes clear: To make people Happy, that is what Cooking is all about!"
